Ben graduated from Port Macquarie High School in 2006 and in the same year completed his eighth grade AMEB singing exam with Honours. He has been involved in a variety of musical pursuits including amateur theatre. Choirs such as the Sydney Public Schools Singers, and recording an album as a member of the four piece funk band The 4pm Project. Ben is currently in his Second year of a Bachelor of Music degree at the ANU School of Music. Last year he has performed with other SOM students in concerts at the Croatian Embassy and Floriade festival. In the School's production 'Opera Vindaloo' Ben played the following rolls: Figaro in Le nozze di Figaro, Mozart; The Vicar in Albert Herring, Britten; Alcidoro in La boheme, Puccini; Chorus in Don Giovanni, Mozart.
