New Zealand born baritone Jeremy Tatchell graduated with a Bachelor of Music in both viola and voice performance from the Canberra School of Music in 2001.
Since 2003 Jeremy has worked with the Adelaide based company, Co-Opera, performing a diverse number of roles with them throughout Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, Germany and Switzerland. These roles include: Colline & Marcello (La Bohème), Papageno, Speaker & 2nd Armed Man (Die Zauberflöte), Germont & Baron Douphol (La Traviata), Fred/Petruchio (Kiss Me Kate), Leporello, Masetto & Commendatore (Don Giovanni), Falke & Blind (Die Fledermaus), Tonio/Taddeo (I Pagliacci) and Zuniga (Carmen). Other roles include Don Alfonso & Guglielmo (Cosi fan tutte), Figaro (Marriage of Figaro), Mr Gedge (Albert Herring) and Aeneas (Dido and Aeneas).
Jeremy has extensive experience on the concert stage including performances of Stravinsky’s Les Noces & Mass, Vaughan Williams’ Five Mystical Songs & Fantasia on Christmas Carols, Bach’s Magnificat and the Passions of St Matthew & St John, Faure’s Requiem, Handel’s Messiah & Israel in Egypt and Haydn’s Creation.
Jeremy has also performed as a violist with various string quartets around Canberra and the Canberra Symphony Orchestra
